Causes of Stress

There are many causes of stress.

The loss of a loved ones can be a major one,

This can last years and many will relive events in order to remember them.

Failure in career goals.

Failure in life goals.

These failures can affect you in many different ways.

Worry  is also a major stress

Where one worries about another and feel helpless.

Other stresses can involve health.

The ageing process can be brutal

With senses degrading as we age.

Isolation can be a major cause of stress.

Fears can build up making you become reclusive.

Fears that you might say something inappropriate when you meet with others.

Or others fail to acknowledge or respect your views.

That you might think about things different from others and this lack of respect or even acknowledgement of your views creates barriers that are difficult to overcome. This then can lead to a build up of stress and frustration as well.

One I often come across is that what I like to phrase as "you don't belong here syndrome". This springs up a lot. It shouldn't happen but it does and it is never a nice feeling. Particularly as a bloke where you are meant to have a thick skin able to take things as it comes.

Respect for the dignity of others should be the norm. 

The undermining of that dignity or respect should not happen but it does and should be challenged when it does.
