Chess - Candidates 2014

Anand wins the Candidates tournament of 2014 with long drawn game with Karjakin. Aronian loses which gave outright victory to Anand. Kramnik beat Topalov and Svidler drew with Mamedyarov. India celebrates, Carlsen prepares and we all look forwards to another encounter whenever that may be.

As the candidates tournament for the right to play Magnus Carlsen for the crown of World Chess Champion reaches its conclusion. Anand is out in front. Anand is 1 point in front of Aronian. With the additional advantage over Aronian of having already won against Aronian earlier in the tournament. So if your into gambling (and can find a bookmaker to take your odds), Anand looks like favorite to take on Magnus Carlsen for World Chess Champion.  Also this year the Olympiad of chess will take place in Norway.
