Does the hard work ethic get taken advantage of?

In this day and age the care and consideration of others seems to be diminishing. The hard work of good people seem to be being taken advantage of by the loud and the lazy. 

They sometimes turn into slave drivers. In our obsession with hard work these slave drivers, squeeze every drop out of the toil of others. Extracting the sweat and tears of others in order to make a living. In order to better themselves they trample and belittle the ambitions and toils of others.

There are those that would wish for good people to just go away, disappear or leave.  They think that those who do good are weak and should be protected. When the truth is that those that are good are strong and have learned how to navigate the world of demon possessed people without succumbing to their ways and continue to help others where they can and be strong against such tyranny.

This is a world that creates such anguish for those who just want to live a happy life .To grow, to develop. The majority of the world does care for each other and can get on. There is a minority that would put a spanner in the works of any good and caring citizen. They use all manner of tricks to accomplish this. Pointing out a flaw in you while failing to see their own flaws. Distracting you from making progress.putting you in a box labelled go away. Instead an obsession with flaws takes hold. 

To be rewarded both in thanks and joy at the things you do for others is a blessing. When people extract or even act on removing that joy they are in danger of extinguishing that eternal fire.

The eternal fire fortunately is not controlled by other humans. 

A scheming nature would try to claim it as their sole possession. Willing and able to crush it with the close of a fist, a whisper or a sinful smirk. Denying all culpability once the act was done. They do this to many an eternal flame. Trying to drag good people down. So they can run amok with the earthly possessions not earned through good wills. But the fact they can get away and you are unable to catch them. You are of course able to recover in time. 

The glee they can extract by the knocking of another soul is intoxicating. If not stopped this can repeat  time and again. Doing further harm to the soul being knocked Responsibility is not on their agenda. Power wielding is and it is intoxicating for them.

A cruelty of spirit, a cruelty of soul. A lack of care for the suffering of others. 

All because they can get a way with it. Surrounded by a pose to defend their tyranny.

Denigrating the work and worth of others.

To what end?

The enlightenment was an important period in the development of Scotland and Europe. It provided a forum for people to gather. For intellectuals to challenge ideas that had been around for centuries. To look into humanity and see if they could fix the problems of the world. Not by going to war but by challenging through discourse. 

Creating rivalries that would create great friendships. 

Exchanging ideas throughout the world. This still continues to this day and should be celebrated. This challenge to the world eventually resulted in a scientific revolutions of the 18th century. As well as an industrial revolution of the 19th. In the 20th century these revolutions were challenged and a reassessment made which continues to this day. With the arrival of the internet and world wide web at the beginning of the 21st century. Global solutions to global problems has come to the fore.
