The reign of Magnus Carlsen continues in 2021. 


After two titanic battles between Sergey Karjakin and Fabiano Caruana which both went to tie-breaks. Magnus wins against Ian Nepomniachtchi 7.5 to 3.5 after 11 games. With 4 decisive wins for Magnus. 

After 5 initially drawn games. A mammoth 8 hour long game took place in game 6. Which ended passed midnight in Abu Dhabi. Turning the tide in Magnus's favour.

Ian was unable to reply with a decisive game in return. In fact he went further behind in games 8 and 9. With a decisive blow occurring in game 11 which ended the match.

This blog began as a cathartic exercise. To allow me to express myself in a way that I had not done before. Always the quiet one in the corner. Much preferring quiet discussions than backslapping revelry. We find human failure such a shock sometimes. However it happens all the time. We set people up for failure within our educational system. Things may have changed since my time. In my time they tried to create automotons out of an animal that wants to laugh and play. Perhaps they still do this from where you are. The system put questions before you that very seldom crossed your mind. Do the answers progress your understanding of the world and universe around you? Did the answers make you a better more wealthy person?  The world is a beautifull place and people in it are on the most part wholesome and kind.
