Criticism and the art there of. Can you handle it? As Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet : "That is the question?"

Aristotle's Poetics is the earliest surviving work of dramatic theory and first extensive philosophical treatment to focus on literary theory in the West.

This is quite a statement. The Poetics according to wikipedia was published around 335 BC. The earliest example of trying to understand drama, action, and the world created in the imagination of the dramatist and author. Shining a magnifying glass on both the dramatic presentation and the reaction and possible effect on the audience. The tools used to bring tears, laughter and joy, that play with the emotions of the audience. Are they for good or are they for ill?

Sometimes, through the lets try and see if it works methodology, you can stumble upon things that disturb or intrigue sometimes they bore and you want to leave. Sometimes they regurgitate the same tricks over and over again until the enjoyment is spoiled to exhaustion. The anger, the jealousy and the effect that such emotions display on screen. How does this affect the audience? What is the dominant emotion upon leaving?

Important questions.

The calydiscope of emotions are they negative or positive? Pride on money well spent or disappointment on money wasted?

All important questions.

Personal criticisms forthcoming.

Comment if you dare.

The difference between the artist and the hardworking designer is another interesting follow-up.
