Magnus Carlsen triumphs in what was a thoroughly entertaining Tata Steel tournament.
A great tournament for Wesley So and Anish Giri. Wesley So who entered the top 10, surpassing Nakamura, temporarily, for a long time US's number 1, in the ratings list.
Carlsen finished on 9 out of 13, while Giri, So, Vashier-Lagrave from France and Ding from china finished half a point behind on 8.5 out of 13. Vasil Ivanchuck also did well ratings wise finishing on 7.5 out of 13 and increased his rating up 9 places in the rankings to 24th.
All in all a fascinating tournament with entertaining games throughout.
